What better way to celebrate Halloween than with some creepcakes? These monsters are delicious!

The bag holding the cupcakes did get tipped at one point so the frosting smushed but they did taste great!

Be Prepared!

My baby brother has been working really hard on his Eagle Project for the Boy Scouts of America! I wanted to help out and decided to donate some cupcakes to the volunteers helping him work. I did M&M cupcakes with delicious buttercream, topped with M&M’s and also a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting topped with chocolate buttercream. Both were good but I think the favorite was the chocolate peanut butter.

His Court of Honor will be next spring and I’m already working on ideas for the cupcake flavors and display.

What’s Next

With the Foell-Chambers wedding a week behind me, it’s now time to focus on the next big project. My baby brother is working on his Eagle project for the Boy Scouts of America. I will be providing cupcakes to his volunteers at the project and another display of cupcakes for his Court of Honor. Details and photos to come!

Monograms

Today and tomorrow I will be creating 200 monograms to top the wedding cupcakes. I’ve toyed with a few ideas, from molded chocolate, cookies and fondant. Because of the summer heat (it’s an outdoor wedding), the chocolate seemed like a risky idea. I did a test round of cookies this weekend and I’m not sure it’s the look I’m going for. Tonight I’ll do a test of fondant and see if it gives just the right look.

I have to say I really love working with a bride who is flexible and happy and easy going! No Bride-zilla here! I promised her the cakes will be both beautiful and delicious, and they will be.

First set of monogram letters are done. I think this will look great! Pink ones will be done tonight.
